Patient Care SpecialistJacksonville, FLDuration: 6-month contract (temp-to-hire)Job DescriptionUSPRO is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team. In this dynamic role, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional support to new and existing patients, focusing on IT support, medical device assistance, general inquiries, and enrollment into our RPM and CCM programs. This position involves engaging directly with patients, healthcare providers, and physicians in person and over the phone. If you possess a background in healthcare, information technology, customer service, and sales, and are ready to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesMeet with patients in the clinical setting to provide supportAssist patients in overcoming barriers during onboardingTroubleshoot IT and medical device issues over the phone & in personNavigate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) efficientlyEngage with patients daily in person and via phone/text messageUtilize our software for patient onboarding and documentationReview patient demographics in Google Sheets/Google DocsReceive inbound and make outbound phone callsMaintain HIPAA complianceMultitask between multiple software systems and EMRsEducate patients about chronic conditions and available resourcesInterpret healthcare data and ICD-10 codesIdentify, acknowledge, and advocate for patient needsOrganize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlinesParticipate in quarterly quality assurance and performance reviewsConduct some remote work, daily local travel within Jacksonville, FLQualificationsA healthcare background is highly preferred with an Information Technology (IT) background a plus.A customer service background and some medical knowledge (ICD-10 codes etc.) required.Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and comfortable speaking directly with doctors and medical providers as needed.Ability to work locally in Jacksonville, FL, (and remotely as needed), reliable transportation is a mustStrong technical proficiency to navigate Android and iOS cellular devices easily.The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong time management skills, be highly adaptable and coachable, and command strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
