Job DescriptionThe Assistant Catering Manager with the Philadelphia Zoo assists the Senior Catering Manager in the daily functions, upkeep and maintenance of the catering department. Job ResponsibilitiesSchedules and assigns daily work assignments to caterings servers, supervisors and set up team, assists with scheduling and payroll in ABITrains and guides staff on job duties, proper food safety and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc.Reviews BEOs with Senior Catering Manager and handles ordering of dry goods, smallwares, beverage, linens and décor for catering events Responsible for maintaining catering equipment in an organized and clean manner.Leads the set up and breakdown of catering events Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.Creates signage for all catering events, adhering the food allergy policies Works with Senior Catering Manager to create and enhance catering standard operating procedures Other duties and tasks as assigned by managerActively participate in weekly BEO meetings and keeps BEO boards up to dateCommunicates with chef on buffet layouts, vessels and equipment Qualifications?Previous catering & food service experience required?Must be able to obtain food safety certification ?Exhibit and practice the highest level of guest satisfaction skills?Basic accounting knowledge and experience managing inventory required ?Demonstrated organizational skills to improve efficiency ?Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes?Must be able to work independently with limited supervision?Demonstrates excellent guest service skills ?Ideal candidate will be available to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays #FS-250EducationAbout AramarkOur MissionRooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.At Aramark, we believe that every employee should enjoy equal employment opportunity and be free to participate in all aspects of the company.
