This position will provide you with opportunities to develop expertise in a variety of policy topics, as well as apply new skills in a supportive and collaborative work environment. You will work alongside a team of policy professionals who are committed to your success and overall professional development. The office has a true open-door policy and mentorship program to help foster and maintain positive working relationships.We have found that successful employees have a positive helpful attitude and are always interested in learning while taking on new and challenging projects. Tiber Creek Group emphasizes teamwork and encourages collaboration at all levels. As such, an employee's willingness to work in-office will be a key component to their success.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:· A bachelor's degree is required.· The ideal candidate would have some public policy experience as well as a broad knowledge of and background in the legislative process.· Candidates should have at least one-year of professional work experience. Hill experience is also valuable, but not required. (Hill experience can be in the form of congressional internships.) · Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.· Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, with a proven track record of producing high-quality, client-ready work.· Ability to quickly process new information, distill it into key points, and communicate clearly.· Self-starter who can seamlessly pivot between working independently and in a team environment.· Analytical thinker who has strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.· Ability to work in fast-paced environments and work under pressure to reliably meet competing deadlines and balance multiple priorities.· Growth mindset focused on self-driven, continual learning.· Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:· An understanding of the Federal budget and appropriations process.· Prior experience searching and applying for grant opportunities as well as organizing responses to RFPs.· Strong project management skills.· Experience communicating effectively with different types of audiences, as well as the ability to adjust written materials to meet specific client needs.· Client management experience, including communicating directly with clients (e.g., emails, video calls, in-person meetings, and formal presentations).PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: · Provide administrative support to multiple lobbyists, including but not limited to:o Maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings;o Planning, organizing, and hosting in-office events;o Submitting expense reports;o Making travel arrangements; and,o Drafting and editing correspondence.· Provide support to lobbyists and policy analysts on a range of client matters, including:o Monitoring congressional hearings (via webcast);o Drafting client memoranda;o Providing research support to existing and potential clients;o Assisting with the preparation of proposals and preparations; and,o Distributing, as necessary, articles related to clients in various media outlets.· Social media engagement may also be included, as well as other projects as assigned.· Providing backup phone coverage.If you have a passion for public policy and are interested in working in a collaborative environment with professionals committed to your development, we want to hear from you. We welcome applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and we recognize that skills and competencies can show up in different ways. If you meet many of the qualifications, but not all we still encourage you to apply. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Tiber Creek Group offers employees:· Competitive hourly rate, eligible for overtime, and performance based year-end bonuses. · Profit sharing contributions to your 401K with immediate vesting.· 100% employer-paid, platinum-rated health insurance plan (we also cover 50% of dependent premiums).· Dental, vision, disability (short and long-term), and life insurance are also included.· Two (2) weeks of PTO, with an additional week added after the fourth year, and over 10 holidays, including the last week of the year.· Hybrid work environment with the option to work remotely 1-2 days per week, and additional flexibility during congressional recess in August.· Access to professional development opportunities, mentorships, training, and resources.· Smart benefits for metro or parking reimbursement, up to $300 per month.· Paid parental leave.
