Kyocera Document Solutions America, Inc. was officially certified a Great Place to Work since 2021 An organization earns this distinction when its employees have expressed their trust in the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.As a Controller, you will manage the finance and accounting activities: responsible for enforcement of KDA corporate accounting and internal control policies and procedures; reports directly to the Division Controller, Direct Operations with dotted line reporting responsibility to the Subsidiary President.The chance to do something meaningful, to challenge yourself, to be a part of change in an industry, to influence change doesn't come around every day.ResponsibilitiesEnsures all financial reports are prepared according to KDA corporate accounting policies and GAAP/IFRS in a timely manner.o Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.o Prepares and presents monthly financial statements.o Provides management with timely reviews of the organization's financial status and progress.o Reconciles all balance sheet accounts monthly.o Accumulates and monitors all financial data.o Manages period close, establishes cut-off, analyzes pre-close results, approves required adjustments.o Prepares reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.o Prepares and generates summaries of all end month reports.Performs as a super user of the accounting and operational system (E-Automate)Management of the subsidiary's cashManages all accounting functions, including but not limited to Accounts Receivable, and Accounts PayableDevelops relationships and manages communications with KDA, management, personnel, vendors, auditors and banks and other financial institutions.Coordinates annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.Ensures compliance with statutory sales and property tax reporting.Remains current on government regulations and legislation to manage, ensure and enforce consistent fair application and compliance with State and Federal regulations related to Accounting and FinanceMonitors receivables to ensure that credit risk is mitigated.Ensures that physical inventory and fixed asset observations are taken in accordance with KDA policy.Works with management to ensure that inventory days on hand and accounts receivable days outstanding are being managed to KDA KPI requirements.Safeguards the company assets and maintains a strong environment of financial control.Backup to the Order Billing and Finance Managers.Provides strong business and technical leadership.Coordinates with KDA headquarters on the implementation of operating software and systems as required.Maintains a professional and productive relationship with local Branch management and staff while simultaneously coordinating with KDA headquarters for guidance and direction.Performs continual process analysis of Branch's existing inventory, invoicing, disbursement, treasury, and accounting workflows to continuously improve those local processes, i.e., identifies and suggests productivity and efficiency enhancements on an on-going basis.Performs other duties as assigned by Manager.Supervises all accounting and financial operations functions including contract administration and human resources.QualificationsBachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent. Advance degree or CPA certification a plus.Seven to ten years related experience and/or training.Must possess a strong understanding of US GAAP requirements and financial controls.Working knowledge of forecasting and financial reports.Demonstrated ability to interpret economic conditions and anticipate the impact on organization.Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation and scientific method.Ability to work with all levels of management.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.Proven leadership and business acumen skills.Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate subordinates.Commitment to excellence and high standards.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, computerized accounting systems (E Automate experience a plus)Experience in Office Solutions/Imaging industry a plus.Excellent presentation skills.Strong teamwork orientation and flexibility to adapt to frequent organizational changes.Note:This is a general description of the duties and responsibilities most frequently required of this position. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
