Job Description:

A media/entertainment organization in New York City is looking to add and experienced Scrum Master (Web or Mobile) to their team. The successful candidate will work within the PMO for a network streaming group driving the transformation to Scaled Agile Framework.This is a remote opportunity following EST hoursResponsibilities:The Scrum Master Provides coaching around Agile frameworks and best practices for feature/project delivery, utilizing traditional project management approaches when neededFacilitates and/or supports Agile framework ceremonies for Agile teamsTeaches and enforces the values and principles of Agile, while promoting self-organization and constantly improving our standards of workIdentifies, tracks, and removes impediments for feature/project and team successArbitrates and resolves conflict within the teamFacilitates the creation of a well-defined product backlogEnsures planning of go-live and deployment activities and facilitate their executionEnsures that all team members understand and accept their roles and responsibilitiesAssists with resource allocation and effective capacity planning for team to determine what team can take on in any given sprintMonitors sprint velocity and works with team to determine how they can continue to improve on velocity and recognize additional efficiencies as they matureTracks and reports key project metrics, informing stakeholders as appropriateManages feature delivery with respect to capital budgetsManages relationships with all invested parties, including (but not limited to): Product, Engineering, Brands/Audiences, and/or other key stakeholdersCoordinates participation of different tech and business groups in requirements gathering, specifications, design, development and implementation of key projectsShields the team from outside "noise" or distractions that prohibit them from being successfulLearns, understands, and actively uses project management & ticket tracking software to effectively manage the team's backlog and sprint-committed itemsQualifications:At least 3 years of Agile experience in high-performing Agile software development environment with dedicated teamsScrum Master certification with deep understanding of all things Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban and other methodologies)Experience working in Desktop, Mobile Applications and OTT development teams in technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, iOS, and AndroidExperience with Bitbucket, GitHub and JenkinsProficiency in tools: Jira, Confluence, Google Suite, SlackGood interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ideas in a fast-paced creative environmentBachelor's degree or equivalent experience3+ years working with Agile, Strong knowledge of Scrum, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and other Agile frameworks and software engineering practices, as well as traditional project management approachesAbility to understand technologies applicable to assigned product or service area and facilitate resolution of technical needs as they ariseComfortable leading business and technology in vetting technical optionsSuperb written and verbal communications, presentation skills, and meeting facilitation skills (including with an executive audience)Desired:SAFe Agilist certification in addition to Scrum MasterKnowledge of PI PlanningAbility to influence and motivate people to high levels of performance and teamworkDemonstrated working partnership with engineers, QA, technical and business management, department heads, and product managersExperience driving initiatives within a media company and/or in an online consumer-facing business environment preferredExperience with Content Management Systems, Subscription or Membership sites, Publishing Systems, Digital Media sites development, and streaming video3+ years of experience developing and maintaining Mobile applications
