Duties and Responsibilities: * Practice safe driving habits * Follow all state truck safety regulations and standards * Complete documentation for mileage and cargo; confirm inventory matches shipping documents * Refuel vehicle and check/replace oil as needed * Inspect truck daily for damage or Maintenance problems (tire wear, dents, etc.) * Report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered while driving to supervisors * Maintain vehicle equipment; clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed; keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter * Able to lift more than 50 lbs. Requirements: * Must have one year of recent commercial driving experience. * All applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age * Valid CDL Class C Driver License with a clean 10-year DMV record, must provide K4 * Must be able to successfully pass drug/physical and background screening * No Restrictions preferred * Physical requirements; while performing the duties of the job is to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift, push, pull, carry and manipulate large and heavy items. Skills: * Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) * Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly * Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations * Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) * Vast knowledge of local cities and routes * Able to deliver and pick up in a timely manner * Able to speak with customers in a professional manner EEO Commitment: General Logistics Systems US is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and is committed to a diverse workforce.
