What You'll Do The Ohio Industrial Commission, Operations Support department, is seeking a knowledgeable professional who demonstrates a high level of customer service, attention to detail, & critical thinking skills. In addition, this position requires organizational and time management skills. Works under general supervision of the Director of Operations Support & requires considerable knowledge of inventory control, agency policies & procedures & state regulations on inventory control, salvage & surplus disposal. * Receives, inspects & records new materials, supplies & equipment arriving in agency for distribution throughout OIC's regional & district offices, maintains accurate records of all incoming & outgoing equipment & supplies, schedules, prepares & assists with loading & unloading of supplies & equipment for shipment or delivery to various facilities & maintains perpetual inventory of supplies. * Maintains accurate & extensive agency-wide/statewide inventory & assets (i.e., furniture, equipment, etc.). * Retrieves all asset management (AM) movement request from agency HEAT software system and completes outstanding tickets after AM movement. * Responsible for performing daily tasks related to mail operations & the collection & distribution of incoming &/or outgoing mail (e.g., sorts, time stamps, opens, bundles, addresses, completes required documentation for special mail handling, etc.) & delivers &/or picks up to appropriate offices. * Maintains copy center & mail room; answers telephone calls. * Performs other related & miscellaneous duties as assigned (e.g., stock supply maintenance, picks up small packages, creates name plates, etc.).
