CDL Truck Drivers are compensated for not only the miles they drive, but for many other activities involved in the transportation process. Other benefits at AFS include:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOperate a tractor-trailer combination.CDL Truck Drivers may be asked to assist with unloading utilizing a pallet jack.Multi-stop shipping to varied retailers where delivery accuracy and excellent customer service is imperative.Conduct pre and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer.Ensure safety through proper inspection and operation of equipment according to company, FMCSA, and DOT regulations and procedures.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and professional standards.POSITION REQUIREMENTSMinimum 23 years of ageOne year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience required - Two years preferredNo history of DUI or other drug or alcohol-related driving convictionsDoubles/Triples endorsement preferred (willing to train)Safely inspect and operate trucks and equipmentValid Idaho CDL Class A Driver and medical cardProfessional, reliable, and timely, with working knowledge of delivery routes and highwaysCommunicate clearly and effectively, as well as maintain a professional collaboration with all partnersAbility to pass DOT pre-employment drug screenAlthough AFS looks for the right driver, we also make sure that AFS is right for you.
