DescriptionTHE ROLE: TRUCK DRIVER NON-CDL (NEW YORK, NY)The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a commercial vehicle to transport our baked goods to and from specified destinations. This role involves loading and unloading baked goods, maintaining the vehicle in good working condition, and ensuring timely deliveries.What you'll do: Drive non-CDL trucks or vans to transport goods over short distances. Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries. Assist with loading and unloading baked goods from the vehicle in a safe manner. Ensure baked goods and packages are properly secured to prevent damage during transit. Operate 20-foot refrigerated truck safely and efficiently. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips. Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to management. Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order. Follow all traffic laws and company policies. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding vehicle operation. Interact with customers and team members in a professional and courteous manner. Provide accurate delivery information and obtain necessary signatures or documentation. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance. Complete delivery receipts and other paperwork as required.What we're looking for: Must be at least 21 years of age with commercial vehicle driving experience and a minimum of 1 year. Valid driver's license (Class D or equivalent). Proven experience as a truck driver into New York city a plus. Excellent driving record with no major violations or accidents. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Good communication and customer service skills. Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus. Has the ability and qualifications to operate a commercial vehicle and includes ability to lift and deliver loaded delivery racks into and out of customer's location.
