This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our firm's physical assets and play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining security systems to protect our infrastructure, information, and personnel.Is your background a match?3+ years of experience in a security systems specialist roleMassachusetts Class D Electrical License (or ability to obtain it)High School diploma/ GED; Associates degree in electronics, preferredStrong knowledge of security systems, including access control, surveillance, and alarm systemsUnderstanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management, IP addressing and subnetting, IP video network transmission; basic switch, router, and firewall principlesAble to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassistedPossess a valid driver's license with limited violationsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think criticallyStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical team membersFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations related to securityWhat will you be doing?Overall installation, programming, start-up, and commissioning of integrated security systems(CCTV, IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and software platformsProvide on-the-job training to less experienced techniciansParticipate in Operational Testing, Verification, and AcceptanceRun routine reports to review system operationParticipate in final inspection and testingAssist with customer training on system operationsEvaluate the effectiveness of existing security systems and make recommendations for improvements, as neededConduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standardsProvide technical support for security-related issues and incidentsParticipate in the development of security policies and proceduresInterested in hearing more?
