Over 130+ years in business In over 100 countriesJob DetailsWe are immediately hiring a R&D Team Manager for our Bartlesville, OK facility. We are open to visa sponsorship for the right candidate and will also offer relocation to any candidate looking for this great leadership opportunity. The office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. We are actively looking for someone with both, R&D and IT experience.The R&D (Research and development) Team Manager plays an important role, driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the department while assisting the R&D Manager to plan and manage R&D activities and resources. In this position, you will support the development of projects and identify the budget for a specific functional area.Reporting to the R&D Technology Manager, Instrumentation, you will oversee R&D Engineers to meet the requirements of product development projects.Your responsibilities will include:
Serve as a technical resource for internal and external contacts
Create technology roadmaps and provide input regarding technology strategy planning
Plan and ensure an optimal project portfolio for the team and oversee efficient project execution
Recommend, develop and improve processes and procedures to enhance local operations
Apply appropriate development and quality standards and monitors local product quality and change requests to identify issues
Support professional growth of employees in R&D and mentor them to be successful
Evaluate local market requirements and innovation and provide feedback on product, manufacturing and R&D strategies
Contribute to technical bodies both inside and outside the company and promoting the company's R&D internally and externallyRequirements for this position includes:
Bachelor's degree and/or significant relevant experience in Software or Computer Engineering and minimum 8, with 10 o more years of experience in embedded systems development preferred.
Experience working as an R&D Development Team leader/Manager with natural gas flow measurement equipment or low power embedded systems development running on real time operating systems also preferred
Sound knowledge of managing embedded development teams, good understanding of software development and experience with hands on development with C++, scripting languages, UX/UI development, automation, continuous integration and integration, open source scanning, cyber security, delivery and release to a manufacturing environment. Experience with hardware and mechanical development
A solution focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Proficiency in English is required
Good knowledge of the company's Gate Model and Quality Processes
