Full Time Steward- Senior Living

Position SummaryTo be part of an energetic team, devoted to delivering a unique and enjoyable culinary experience for our residents and visitors.Essential ResponsibilityMaintain a positive working relationship with all residents, resident family members, and associates.Maintain a high degree of resident, family and guest satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services.Effectively and appropriately communicate with each co-worker and community leader.Maintain a positive image with the community.Prepare, wash, and store dishes.Cleans floors using dry mops, wet mops, brooms, and floor cleaning equipment, disinfecting the work area each day.Utilizes appropriate chemicals and chemical mixtures in all aspects of cleaning duties. Chemicals outside of the approved order guide are strictly prohibited.Complete Dishwasher Temperature Log at required times.Assist with serving meals.Assist with setting tables.Assist with bussing tables.Deliver and retrieve kitchen supplies from resident apartments.Operate commercial equipment according to manufacturer specification, while adhering to Aviva Senior Living Standards.Assist dining associates in cleaning food service areas and equipment, sweeping, and mopping floors and completing assigned cleaning duties.Minimum Job QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED).Level of ExperienceOne to two years of related work experience preferred.General Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and write, follow written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion. Ability to always perform duties with consideration for residents' rights and demonstrate integrity and discretion in the care of residents and in handling their health information. Excellent interpersonal skills.
