The Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Virginia, Stem Cell Transplant/Cellular Therapy Program seeks candidates for an Open Rank, Open Track faculty position. Clinical track, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications. The UVa Health System offers many opportunities for collaborative clinical and basic research, an active clinical trials program, and is an NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. Expertise in the care of patients with malignant disease with an emphasis on Bone Marrow/Stem Cell transplantation and Cellular Therapies is required. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an independent clinical research program utilizing the excellent translational research opportunities and resources available at UVa. The successful candidate is expected to be clinically active, attend on inpatient and outpatient services at UVa, and participate in multidisciplinary team care and clinical research within the Cancer Center. Interest in CAR T therapy is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate must actively participate in the teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students. Board-eligibility or Board-certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology is required. Board certification in Internal Medicine is encouraged.
