The Campaign Manager for DePauw University's Development & Alumni Engagement Division supports the planning and execution of the Campaign strategy, including developing campaign collateral, helping to manage solicitation priorities, collaborating with the Prospect Manager to manage prospect lists, work with gift officers to execute targeted cultivation plans and solicitation strategies, providing support to staff, board members and volunteers for solicitation, and managing campaign cultivation events. The manager oversees various aspects of campaign planning and implementation, working closely with development leadership, key volunteers and senior staff. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the university's capital campaign for a temporary period, with employment concluding as the campaign reaches a successful completion. Essential Functions Statement(s) In concert with the Vice President, manages the execution of the Campaign, including monitoring progress against overall campaign timeline, tracking progress toward overall campaign goals and objectives in the CRM database. Manages existing and new stewardship fulfillment related to campaign projects Produces campaign activity reports, prospect lists, pledge/gift agreements, named gift agreements, partnership contracts, consulting contracts, and monitors adherence to campaign counting guidelines using the CRM. Works with the Executive Director for Donor Relations to manage campaign naming opportunity activity that supports departmental colleagues. Works with department colleagues to ensure gifts, pledges and in-kind donations are documented and donor recognition is properly recorded as well as ensures donors are acknowledged according to the guidelines in the Development Playbook within the shared system in a timely manner. Coordinates and schedules meetings and special events with donors, corporate/civic leaders and other external constituents, as requested. In collaboration with the event manager, manages and/or assists in the implementation of a variety of special events and activities in support of the campaign. Provides logistical support to campaign volunteer committee meetings. Plans for and participates in meetings, provides operational and administrative support and timely follow-up. Assists in preparing for donor meetings. With support from colleagues, utilizes key messages and case support to create and distribute campaign communication and collateral. Creates campaign proposals and presentation decks and develops strategy in support of donor meetings and presentations. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience in campaign support in nonprofit fund development, including donor stewardship, major gifts moves management or similar process, event planning, and prospect research. One (1) year of event planning and/or event logistics coordination preferred. Communication/Language: Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computer Skills: Must possess excellent knowledge of Windows applications as well as constituent database management acumen including: Google Suite Presentation software experience. Database administration experience. Other Requirements: Demonstrated project coordination and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and duties.
