Description: Conceptual Design & Site Planning: Develop initial designs and plans for commercial development projects. Zoning Review: Ensure compliance with local zoning laws and regulations. Grading & Drainage Design: Design systems to manage land elevation and water drainage effectively. Sanitary System Design: Plan and design sanitary systems for the site. Stormwater Hydrology Analysis & Design: Conduct analyses and design systems to manage stormwater. Permitting & Expediting Support: Assist in obtaining necessary permits and expedite the process. Construction Administration & Project Management: Oversee construction activities and manage projects to ensure successful outcomes. Municipal Appearances: Represent the project before municipal boards or committees. Budget Management & Business Development: Manage project budgets and seek new business opportunities. Team Oversight: Supervise 1-2 designers. Travel 10-20% to job sites in Nassau and Suffolk County (toll reimbursement provided) Skills & Qualifications: 7-10 years of Civil Engineering experience Technically sufficient with AutoCAD, HydroCAD and Microsoft Office Ability to work well in a team as well as independently Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
