Serve as project leader for design and implementation of Advanced Control / Optimization projects. Act as technical advisor to Process/Project Engineering and Operations on complex process control systems. Analyze control of process operations to improve and optimize unit performance and profitability. Responsible for operation and maintenance of infrastructure and software used for control and safety functions.Key Responsibilities:Steward the continued development and sustained performance of Advanced Process Control technologies.Act as technical advisor to Process/Project Engineering and Operations on complex process control systems including design, troubleshooting and control loop / instrument tuning.Implement and support the basic Process Control System (DCS), Multivariable control (MVC), Safety Instrumented System (SIS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware and software.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor of Science Degree in Process Control or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of process control or related experience in the refining/chemical industry OR 8 years of control board/Operations supervision experience in lieu of degree.Advanced computer skills; modeling, multivariable control and DeltaV configuration experience a plus.Experience in a variety of process control related skills including DCS configuration, PLC configuration, multi variable control (design, implementation and/or maintenance) and instrument tuning.Strong communication skills, self-directed, with a positive customer service focus. The ability to contribute in a team setting is essential.Must have valid driver's license.Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all persons who will need unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration.
