Title: Production Supervisor About the Position The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day donation and production operations of the store to meet or exceed optimum level of merchandise production. Effectively supervises production employees so that daily production goals are met. Responsible to ensure a safe, clean, and organized working environment. *Some duties are not required for the Seattle Store Production Supervisor as this location does not operate donations but supports other stores. Pay Range: $23.50/hour DOE. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Ensure donations are processed in such a way to maximize sales and minimize waste. * Conduct quality checks on merchandise before it is placed on the sales floor. Ensure all donations are processed expediently from the donation door to the sales floor. * Communicates needs with store management team to ensure production and sales goals will be met. Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees. Promote productivity by following up with employees on work results. Resolve workplace employee concerns by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity. Coordinates dock efforts assigning staff within production and transportation area. Ensure Production Associates are stocked with supplies. Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information. Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments. Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction. Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; assist in safety training of employees; reports any potential hazards or accidents. Consistent and safe execution of duties associated with forklift operation when certified to Evergreen Goodwill standards. * Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate. Minimum 1 year production or warehouse experience, working knowledge of material handling practices. Minimum 6 months to 1 year of supervisory experience. Must have familiarity with dock equipment, lifting and handling techniques. Must have basic math skills for reports, documentation, etc. Ability to work and lead in a team environment. Ability to carry out instructions. Computer/Technology Skills: Proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job. Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: If applicable to job role: Evergreen Goodwill Forklift certification optional, must meet eligibility requirements. Physical Abilities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 30 - 40 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain). Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.
