SENIOR ACCOUNTANTMONTGOMERY, ALPosition Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing various financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes. This position requires strong leadership abilities, advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.Month-end Close: Manage the month-end closing process, including reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports within established deadlines.General Ledger Management: Help maintain the general ledger system, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, proper account coding, and adherence to internal controls.Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making purposes.Budgeting and Forecasting: Help develop annual budgets and forecasts, providing accurate financial data and analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.Internal Controls: Help maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigate financial risks.Audit Support: Serve as a key liaison for external auditors, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support during audit engagements.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with an emphasis on financial reporting, analysis, and management.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP).Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Sage, Yardi, Quickbooks, TAM).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively.Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to producing high-quality work within tight deadlines.Effective leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.Experience with process improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to optimize accounting processes.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and business needs.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to others as necessary.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans to ensure the well-being of our employees and their families.401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions to help employees plan for their future.Paid time off and holidays to promote work-life balance and employee well-being. #J-18808-Ljbffr
