Responsibilities What you'll be challenged to do: TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in their Morristown Office. The candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of civil/highway/bridge transportation projects as well as assisting in developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead mid to large multidiscipline transportation projects. Primary Responsibilities (others may be included): Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety. * Assures that projects conform to the contractual agreements. * Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget. * Responsible for client satisfaction. * Provide team leadership. * Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians * Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model * Assists with the implementation of the New jersey/New York Area marketing and business development goals * Assists with writing proposals and making presentations * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies * Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility * Perform Independent Reviews of major projects * Served as lead designer on projects as required Qualifications What you bring to our firm: * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field required * 10+ plus years of progressive experience in design and management of major highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projects * Strong communications skills * Project management and contract administration experience * Ability to lead a design team on multiple assignments * Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates * Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software * Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak/Openroads technology * Licensed NJ Professional Engineer required * Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for NJ Turnpike Authority, NJDOT and local agencies * Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members. * Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that TranSystems serves. * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
