Responsibilities: Supports and contributes to branch-level quality assurance programs designed to mitigate nonconformances, improve performance, and reinforce the principles of the QMS through the following functions: Evaluates customer complaints and internally identified material issues to determine and confirm the basis for rejection. Inspects inventory and returned material to validate rejection claims. Analyzes specifications, records, and other paperwork to verify material compliance. Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product and writes report of examinations. Reviews quality documents such as procedures, quality manuals, specifications, customer quality requirements, standards, and regulatory requirements to determine compliance. Works with both internal and external members of the supply chain to resolve issues not limited to revised paperwork, returned material, and clarification of requirements Reviews branch-level procedures, forms, and technical issues, recommending solutions to problems and changes to processes and/or documents. Maintains select quality records and documents Participates in and supports both internal and external audits by providing relevant information and documents and preparing branch-level employees. Requirements: Ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, customers and vendors. Ability to read, analyze, and utilize performance data. Ability to interpret technical information including test results, specifications, standards, and requirements. Ability to organize collected information and data into logs and maintain documents. Ability to work effectively with common PC programs such as spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (Word), presentation software (PowerPoint), etc. Ability to learn mainframe software (Seagull). Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Undergraduate degree, and/or five years' experience. Ability to read, write, and fluently speak the English language.
