Our firm has offices in Los Angeles, New York City, Nashville, San Rafael, Wilmington, and London.We are seeking a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager with ideally entertainment business management experience to join our team of dedicated professionals.Location: This position can be based out of White Plains or Manhattan (NY) on a hybrid basis.Overview of Role: The Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and tax aspects related to assigned client accounts.Responsibilities:Preparation and review of complex, multi-state tax returns (individual, S corporation, C corporation, partnership, estate and trusts)Stay abreast of changing state and federal laws, policies, economicpolitical climate which may affect clients' financesSupervise and review Staff's preparation of moderately complex tax returnsConduct tax research and multi-jurisdictional planningAct as a coach and trainer to develop staff members into efficient and effective client team members, and address performance issues and concerns as neededAssist partners in identifying and onboarding prospective clientsSupport Account Managers to provide highest level of customer service by assisting with contracts, budgeting, home purchases, tours, and year-endOther projects and duties as assignedA successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:5+ years of experience in accounting and taxation for high net-worth individuals and entertainersBachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting or comparable is required; Masters in Taxation is preferredActive CPA license is highly favoredSolid interpersonal skills and other key soft skills (i.e., communication, time management, emotional intelligence, adaptability, active listening, critical-thinking, etc.)Sense of urgency and demonstrated ability to follow throughCommitment to professionalism and accuracyProven knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, laws and ruleregulationsExperience with DataFactionAgilLink and Go Systems or comparable tax software is highly preferredPrior exposure to royalties, touring services, music publishing and record label administration is highly preferredCandidate information, including education and work experience, is verified upon an offer of employment. Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee educationtrainingcredentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be hybrid or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal peer equity, and market considerations. Applicants will be considered for the Manager and Senior Manager level.
