OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a Senior Broker within the Life Solutions Group, operating in the life market. This role is ideal for an ambitious, analytical broking talent with demonstrated ability within the Re/Insurance, Consulting or Financial Services industries. Be responsible for managing assigned client placement efforts, leading client relationships and the retention and enhancement of those relationships. You understand the client's individual risk situation and work with the team to develop the solutions based upon the specific challenges involved. Operating as a member of a diverse and technical team, you will need to be organized, focused, and capably assist each team with its unique client goals. The work is fast paced, mostly virtual, and requires strong collaboration and teamwork. How you'll make an impactLead project management efforts on a variety of teams and project deliverables. Able to set up efficient team organization and be very process oriented.Coordinate and organize initiatives, working with internal partners and client resources. Must be confident in dealing with senior individuals from client organizations, as well as facilitate involvement from other non-Gallagher Re contacts.You will be expected to interact with clients to successfully complete each transaction. This role requires working independently while still coordinating with other team members and lead brokers.Act as a Mentor. Direct junior team members, such as reinsurance analyst (RAs) or client services associates (CSAs) in the management of critical client information and utilizing the content created by the broader account team to keep client and client team advised on developments. About YouSolid working knowledge of insurance and reinsurance principles including the primary reasons for utilization of reinsurance. Individual life and annuity insurance background and/or Reinsurance transaction experience preferred,10+ years of insurance and/or reinsurance experience, ideally in underwriting, claims or actuarial. Preference to those with experience in any of the following: life insurance, annuities, or long-term care. Experience in the financial services industry outside of (re)insurance carriers may also be relevant.Work Traits:Independently driven and resourceful. Able to take a little information and know where to find answers and/or information.Collaborate in multi-disciplinary teams dealing with technical topics.Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and apply quantitative skillsExcellent work ethic and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skills and team orientationStrong communication and presentation skills; experience with industry presentations a plus.Proficient with Microsoft Office ProductsEntrepreneurial spiritWillingness to take classes/training to enhance technical knowledge and skills.Flexibility to travel-up to 10%, with ability to meet new people and cultivate new relationships.
