OverviewSupervision of clerical staff, as well as the review and evaluation of day-to-day operations to assure compliance with WIC regulations. Assists with Nutrition Education program planning tasks and implementation of the nutrition education component of the program.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain positive relationships with patients, visitors, and other employees. Interacts professionally, courteously, and appropriately with patients, visitors, and other employees. Behaves in a manner consistent with maintaining and furthering a positive public perception of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center and its employees.Contributes to and participates in the Performance/Quality Improvement activities of the assigned department, including data collection, analysis, implementation of, and compliance with risk management and claims activities, support of and participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) teams, and consistent adherence to the specific rules and regulations of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Health Center (a) Safety and Security Policies, (b) Risk Management: Incident and Occurrence Reporting, (c) Infection Control Policies and Procedures, and (d) Patient and Customer Service.Assists in monitoring WIC site operations to ensure maximum standardization and productivity.Assists the Director in the review and evaluation of state computer reports, i.e., manual and computer check registers and reconciliation reports.Assists in planning and conducting in-service training programs in Nutrition Education (methodology and techniques) for program staff and other health professionals.Develops nutrition education materials, exhibits, visual aids, and evaluates nutrition education materials.Assists the Director in writing the Nutrition Education Plan. Participates in program evaluation and in conducting nutrition education evaluations.Maintains adequate records of WIC participants and ensures the completion of daily activities.Substitutes for nutrition education staff as needed.Develops new methods and special techniques for the motivation of WIC participants.QualificationsTwo (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity, preferably in the WIC program.Registration eligible dietitian.Bachelor's in Nutrition or Public Health.Computer literate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
