Who we're looking for Newark, New Jersey's Vehicle Distribution Center (VDC) is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Sr Planning Analyst. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide oversight of the facing VDC's 3PL supporting the production at Southeast Toyota and Lexus Southern. These functions include: monitoring vehicle processing, minimizing dwell with finish vehicle shipping, and coordinating repairs of damaged vehicles, and traveling SET monthly or as needed to support Genchi Genbutsu activities. This role supports the Newark Vehicle Distribution Center's objectives by tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and facilitating continues improvement activities. What you'll be doing Support 3PL vehicle processing, including monitoring vehicle velocity, daily FQA compliance, quality audits. Monitor Vehicle shipping, which includes verifying dwell reports and prioritizing vehicle shipments with our Truck carriers. Ensuring vehicles released from Quality hold are shipped promptly. Supporting Region Special Event and hot customer service requests. Coordinate vehicle repairs that occurred in-transit at the facing VDC rail ramps. Requires providing support to our 3PL inspection companies, ensuring FIFO is being followed for vehicle repairs, and identify opportunities in reduce repair to release dwell. Verify monthly 3PL billing and invoicing and work with TLS Vehicle Processing Systems to ensure timely payment Travel to 3PL monthly or as needed to support Genchi Genbutsu activities. Track PPO processing daily/weekly/monthly and be proactive in identifying any processing bottlenecks and/or quality trends. Work with TLS VPO to understand long term PPO content and ensure the 3PL has the labor and equipment to support. Track the number of vehicles awaiting repair from in-transit damages. Work with 3PL Inspection company and Rail carriers to identify any damage trends. Ensure supporting body shops can repair in a timely manner and support Kaizen activities to reduce repair dwell. Work with TLS Planning to identify alternatives if there are risks to Port capacity or future vessel arrivals. What You Bring High School Education or Equivalent 2-5 years of relevant / progressive work experience (in similar field and/or industry) Experience in Supply Chain Management or Operations Proficiency in Microsoft 365 app suite Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI Bonus (If You Have) Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS) Knowledge and thorough understanding of the TPS (Toyota Problem Solving) & TBP (Toyota Business Practice) Completed a JKK (Ji Koutei Kanketsu) Experience with NVS, VLS, Hyperion Query, PowerBI, & BRIO Completed a TBP Panel (Toyota Business Practice - Problem Solving) Experience developing clear & effective business cases and presenting to various levels internally and externally What we'll bring During your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
