DescriptionGroup Fitness Instructor (Contractor)About the Position:The Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for providing members of the club with a personalized fitness-lifestyle program. The Group Fitness instructor will provide group classes to Grey Oaks members, while promoting the core values, mission, and culture of the Grey Oaks Country Club team.This position reports to: Director of WellnessAbout Grey Oaks Country Club:Considered one of the premier Country Clubs in Florida, Grey Oaks opened in 1993 and encompasses the Grey Oaks and Estuary communities, along with 54 holes of championship golf. The Club's facilities include a 63,000-square-foot east clubhouse, 12,000-square-foot golf pro shop, golf performance center, 30,000-square-foot wellness center, sports center, and the pool café, a 22,000-square-foot complex with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking an expansive resort-style pool with a wading entrance, waterfall, and lap lanes. Those values are on display every day and displayed with every decision you make.Duties and Responsibilities:To provide members with a group fitness class, instruction in the execution of the program, and finally, support for the member to follow the program.Ability to greet each member and guest who enters the fitness floor with an engaging and enthusiastic attitude and ensure that they get to know that member by name.Achieve monthly visit goals and related revenue targets, as established by the club.Provide support in properly maintaining and cleaning the fitness equipment and group fitness studio.Assist members, when sought out, in addition to those involved in group fitness program.Promote and sell the club's group fitness program and any related program instruction for members and guests.Assist in facilitating personal contact between members when they are in class.Assist in preventive maintenance and cleaning of the fitness equipment.Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities):Proven and successful experience in developing, implementing, and delivering group classes.Strong organizational skills in maintaining accurate records, schedules and in facilitating and managing a program of multiple activities and resources.Strong interpersonal and communication skills in all aspects, verbally, writing and listening.Professional certifications in personal training and related fields.Group Fitness /Training Certifications required.Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
