With over 300 animals in our hands-on zoo and over 100 activities, Cub Creek Science Camp is not your average summer camp. We have staff and campers from all over the world who all share the same passion for science, nature and animals. Cub Creek Science Camp is a residential summer camp for boys and girls ages 7 to 17. We are dedicated to providing an unforgettable and unique summer camp experience, but above all else, we strive to help our campers gain self-confidence, discover who they are, and make lasting friendships! Learn more about working at Cub Creek Science Camp- Requirements Work cooperatively with program directors, and summer staff to ensure the smooth operation of communications and customer service tasks for camp. Ensure the camper-parent communication channels are effective and all mail is delivered to campers on time. Key Responsibilities: •Print parent mail daily and deliver to cabin mailboxes •Scan and send camper mail to parents in a timely manner •Ensure the computer cafe and email system are functioning each day and resolve any problems that arise •Assist the camp store with care package orders •Communicate with cabin counselors, camp office, and program directors on camper wellbeing and experience at parent request •Ensure the safety of all campers when participating in camp activities Required Experience and Skills: •Proficiency with computer software such as Microsoft office, Google Suite, and database programs required •A desire to positively impact the life of a child and willingness to put the needs of campers first •Have a passion for science, animals and childhood development •Able to effectively communicate ideas, and instructions in a constructive manner •Self-motivated and able to work on tasks and assigned goals with minimal supervision •Be willing to learn new concepts and skills •Able to work in a team and both give and take direction from others •Willingness to adhere to camp's code of conduct, rules and policies Download the attached Job Description for more details Benefits Starting pay $4000 for 12 week summer. Additional $100 credit in camp store for snacks and supplies. Housing, meals, and laundry included. Weekend work is required, this position requires availability to work on-site 7 days a week for the contract period. 2-hour break provided each day, and 1 scheduled day off each week. Additional leadership training and certifications are available to the right candidates, including high ropes course and lifeguard certifications.
