Works directly with the student station manager. Supervises and trains station personnel. Also monitors the status of equipment and advises the student station manager, the general manager, and chief operator as needed. Job Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include: 1. Develop a training program for all new station staff members to insure basic understanding of broadcast regulation, station operations, and procedures for complying with operational requirements. 2. Administer a basic competency exam and certify new staff members as ready for station assignments. 3. Recruit and supervise students to assist with the audio production needs of other departments. 4. Assist all directors and departments with audio production as deemed appropriate. 5. Provide audio production when needed and no student workers are available. 6. Understand operation of all station equipment used for broadcasting and audio production. 7. Advise the general manager and chief operator of equipment problems and needs. 8. Assist in the maintenance of overall station production standards that reflect well WISU, its employees, and the licensee, the Indiana State University Board of Trustees.
