Our Physical Therapist position comes with a sign-on bonus! *_Position Title: *Physical Therapist. *Monday - Friday. with up to 30-35 hours per week, and in the future will be up to 40 hours, on average, per week.SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION:* Aware of the goals, objectives, and policies of Coast Physical Therapy and assists in providing services required in fulfilling these goals.* Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.* Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.* Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.* Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.* Supervises and directs Physical Therapy Assistants and Physical Therapy Aides in direct patient care and related activities as requested.* Complies with the Florida Physical Therapy Act, codes and regulations.* Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.* Perform routine random sampling for infection control.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
