The Opportunity WSDOT is currently seeking Transportation Engineer 4 - Construction Administration for our North Central Region. This position will lead NCR's processes and deliverables pertaining to contract documentation, materials certification, change order management, stewardship reporting, EEO/COA compliance, final records and contract reporting. The Construction Administration position will also monitor and report on the construction program's delivery and conformance with applicable policies and department expectations for transparency and accountability. What to Expect Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, you will: * Review, compile and distribute administrative documents. * Conduct contract documentation reviews. * Ensure that all region administered projects are properly documented to assure proper funding. * Discuss and interpret the Construction Manual, Standard Specifications and contract documents. * Assist in developing and conducting training. * Coordinate, collect, and report Veterans, Women's, underserved/underrepresented, Small, and Federal Business participation. Qualifications To be considered for this opportunity, the following are required: * Working knowledge of highway engineering principles and practices. * Knowledge of Contract Administration. * Knowledge of principles of management; policies and procedures; transportation concerns and challenges, environmental laws, regulations and issues. * Possess a valid driver's license. It is preferred that qualified candidates also have: * One (1) year experience as a Transportation Engineer 3 or equivalent (such as a Bridge Engineer 3 or Transportation Planning Specialist 3). * Knowledge with FHWA stewardship agreement. * Knowledge of WSDOT's office engineering tasks and functions.
