Check us out on our website: wvwl.org/careers.Join the Westminster Village family enjoy all the benefits that come with it:Competitive pay and benefitsHigh staff to resident ratioAttendance bonusesReferral bonusUniform allowanceLow-cost meal plan, including a free meal on pay daysFREE access to our state-of-the-art fitness center with 2 poolsMedical/Dental/Vision/Short Term Disability and Life Insurance401k Plan with company match*Covid-19 vaccine is strongly encouraged, however not requiredQualifications:High school graduate or equivalent.Must have successfully completed a nurse aide training program approved by the ISDH and received a certification of completion.Must have successfully completed a state approved QMA training and competency evaluation program and received a certification of completion.Possesses knowledge of facility policies and procedures and state and federal regulations.Demonstrated skills and ability in working with and understanding the needs of the residents.Possesses the ability to handle confidential information with professional discretion in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.Possesses good verbal and written skills.Reports to work as scheduled in clean, neat attire and consistently presents an appropriate professional appearance.Must be able to move, stand, bend, and lift continually throughout the workdayMust be able to lift, push, pull or transfer a minimum of 50 poundsMust be able to communicate clearly in the English Language without assistanceShifts Include:8 hour and 12 hour shifts availableEvening shift - 2:30pm - 10:45pm (Health Center)Night shift - 10:30pm - 6:45am (Assisted Living)Every other weekend, every other holidayWe offer shift premium and pick-up payPosition Summary:Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician under the direction and supervision of the Charge Nurse in an accurate, timely manner.Ensure that the written procedures for ordering, administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies are followed per facility policy and in accordance with state and federal regulations.Provide effective communication in giving and receiving report at beginning and end of shift.Administer and document direct resident care, medications, and treatments per physicians' orders and accurately record all care provided and monitoring of any adverse effects.Promptly report changes in residents' conditions to the Charge Nurse and Director of Nursing.Assure residents are given assistance with personal care, including, but not limited to bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, assisting with eating and hydration, proper feeding techniques, skin care, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting as outlined in the residents' plan of care.Monitor residents through frequent rounds to ensure that their personal care needs are being met.Maintain resident rooms in an orderly and sanitary manner, ensuring that infection control policies and procedures are followed.Answer resident calls promptly.
